Blue Crush

Shirt: Nordstrom Rack   Jeans: Old Navy   Shoes: Chinese Laundry (DSW still available here.)   Handbag: The Limited   Sunglasses: H&M   Necklace: H&M   Watch: Michael Kors   Bracelets: Pearl: Forever 21, Brown and Cream Beads: H&M, Pewter Bangle: Express   Rings: Bow: Forever 21, Heart: Stella and Dot   Nail Polish: OPI I'm Indi-a Mood for Love, Glitter OPI Teenage Dream

I literally fell in love with this shirt as soon as I saw it.  P.S. there needs to be a Nordstrom Rack in Columbus.  On the other hand, if there was I would be there all the time.  The heart design on this shirt is such a cool print.  I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but this shirt has buttons down the back as well.  Cool feature huh?  I have to say I am not a fan of jeans on me personally, but these from Old Navy are super comfortable.  Rolling up skinny jeans in the summer is the way to go.  This crossbody bag from The Limited is just the right size and shape that I like.  Crossbody bags are the best because if you are on the go you can just throw them on and hit the town.  You all know how much I love statement necklaces and this one from H&M is a steal!  It was only $12!  I am pretty sure I saw the exact same necklace at another store for like $40.  Lastly, we gotta talk about these sandals.  The combo of beads and rhinestones is very different and they surprisingly go with so many outfits.  On a final note, I thought I would show off a scenic pic of the park right by my house.  I love being so close to everything in the city.  It is nice to walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shops after a couple years of living out in the burbs.

Wedding by the Water

The happy couple Cindy and Ryan!  I have known Cindy since Elementary school!  So happy for them!

My high school bestie Ann!  I wish you could see more of her outfit, she looked so fabulous!

My bestest friend Kristen!  Lil tidbit of info she forgot her dress and we were an hour away from home, so she is wearing my sister-in-law's dress!  So funny and makes for a great story! :)

My beautiful family!  My mom, brother, sister-in-law, and dad!  Love them!

Dress: Express   Headband: J. Crew   Watch: Michael Kors   Bracelets: Pink Beads: Forever 21, Crystal: The Limited, Crystal and Black Beads: Gifted   Ring: The Limited

So one of my best high school friends got married this past weeked at Geneva on the Lake.  The wedding was absolutely beautiful and Cindy the bride looked amazing!  They had the wedding right on the water as you can see from the pics.  Everything about the wedding was so thought out down to the bride and groom themed drinks with their very own straws!  I love the cupcake tables that have been popping up at weddings recently.  Cindy and Ryan had an AMAZING cupcake table!  I am so sad that I forgot to take a picture of it.  They had all different flavors including Red Velvet with Cinnamon Icing, Almond with Chocolate Icing, and Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese.  I am obsessed with this maxi dress that I got from Express.  It is so comfortable, and the print is so flattering.  I haven't showcased it on the blog enough, but I have a huge LOVE for headbands.  This J. Crew headband is one of my favorites.  Anything was an excessive amount of jewels is right up my alley.  Some of  my favorite people in my life are pictured above.  I have captions beneath so you know just who everyone is.  Can't believe how many weddings I have had this year!  I have so many more to go too!  I will post a wedding outfit recap after they are all finished!

Shoulder Situation

Top: Forever 21   Jeans: Old Navy   Necklaces: H&M   Watch: Michael Kors   Ring: Forever 21   Handbag: H&M

So this past weekend was my good friend Dustin's bday party!  There's the birthday boy pictured above with all of his super stylish female friends :)  It was quite the evening at the campus bar Bier Stube.  Now I didn't go to OSU, so I have never heard of this cozy gem of a bar until that night, but it was such a fun time!  The music was great, there were cheap drinks, and great people.  Now I am not gonna lie it is a bit of a dive.  Who am I kidding it is a complete dive, but if you are doing a campus bar crawl of sorts you should probably pop in for a quick beverage.  This is the new top that I bought at Forever 21 and I love it so much!  The colors are so fun and this new trend of showing off your shoulders is just the right amount of sassy for an evening out.  I mean lets be honest I am 27 not 21 anymore.  I gotta keep it classy.

Good Eats and Fashionable Treats

Dress: H&M   Tank: The Loft   Sweater: The Limited   Necklace: H&M   Bangle: The Limited   Watch: Michael Kors   Shoes: Steve Madden (DSW)

So had a nice lil Friday shopping and having lunch with my co-workers.  I bought some fabulous new jewelry from H&M and a super cute top from Forever 21 that I will blog about tomorrow!  I love the pop of neon in this sweater from The Limited.  I am still so into the neon trend.  I hope it doesn't die down anytime soon.  This lil black dress from H&M is perfect because it crosses between casual and dressy.  As you know I LOVE trying new restaurants and have been hearing amazing things about the new burger place at Easton in Columbus called Flipside.  It was delish!  My friend Colin and I split two different burgers and they were both so good.  One of them is pictured above called Green Eggs + Ham Burger.  It has prosciutto (anything with prosciutto I immediately love), fried egg, warm spinach, crispy parmesan, and basil mayo.  The other burger we tried was called the Chili Pepper Burger.  This was seen on the Cooking Channel's Unique Eats.  This was just spicy enough with pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, crispy chili onion rings, and smoked chili ketchup.  Not as hot as it sounds I promise!  We then all split some Truffle Fries.  Truffle oil is my absolute fave!  This place had great service and a great atmosphere along with most importantly GREAT food.  You should totally check it out if you love a good burger joint with some urban flair.

Pink Passion

Blazer: The Limited   Dress: H&M   Leggings: Express   Necklaces: Black Beads: The Limited, Stone: Express   Watch: Michael Kors   Bracelets: Pearls: Forever 21, Crystal: The Limited, Black and Crystal: Gifted   Ring: The Limited   Shoes: Calvin Klein (DSW)

So hot pink is like my favorite color right now.  I have been rocking hot pink lipstick, nail polish, and even have a hot pink sequin clutch.  Neon colors are just so fun and still so on trend right now.  Thought I would dress this look up with this amazing off white blazer that I found at Limited back in the day.  These snakeskin shoes make me feel pretty sassy.  I put them on and instantly feel empowered.  Kind of crazy how clothes and shoes can make you feel a certain way.  Thought I would let my co-worker Liz make a guest apperance on the blog.  She has the cutest style and love this whole look.  She got that amazing skirt from TJ Maxx for $12!!!  There are so many skirts out there like this and you can check out a handful here at Shop Style.  Love her necklace from Express too!  Such a cute turquoise piece to have.

Fancy Foodie Weekend

So this weekend consisted of me trying some new DELICIOUS foods at some of the most talked about restaurants in Columbus.  I promised you that I was a foodie, so I figured I would talk about some of the fabulous foods that I tried this weekend.

Pictured below is the Pot Roast Sandwich from Tip Top with Eggplant fries that have Bloody Mary and Ranch sauces to dip them in.  Believe it or not I have lived in Columbus for 5 years and this was the first time that I had a sit down meal at Tip Top.  I had been there for a casual beer and dabbled in the mac and cheese with a group of friends one night, but that was about it.  But let me tell you I have been missing out!  This place was amazing!  I am like literally craving this meal everyday all the time now.  I highly recommend it for all you foodies out there that love some unhealthy comfort food.

I have always wanted to go to Lindey's for their weekend brunch, and this past Sunday I was finally able to go!  I had some friends in from out of town and wanted to show them all the hot spots of Columbus so I thought the atmosphere at Lindey's would be perfect.  I feel it has a very European feel on the patio.  However, I have never been to Europe so I can't be sure of this, but in my mind that patio is how Europe would feel.  The Mimosas and Eggs Benedict were perfection.  Oh yea and I thought it would be a good idea to get a cup of lobster bisque.  I LOVE lobster bisque.  Any sorta bisque for that matter, I am all about it.  Note to my readers:  DO NOT wear heather grey in the dead middle of summer.  Although, I love this color, not the best in heat.  I am sure the soup didn't help.  That's all I am gonna say :)

Next stop on our Sunday tour of Columbus, is my FAVORITE ice cream shop, Jeni's!  My friend John below has heard me rave about Jeni's for years so he was pretty excited to try it out.  So excited in fact that he literally tried almost every flavor.  Those taster spoons are no joke people.  That is how many flavors he tried.  Brings me back to my days as an ice cream scooper at Bruster's in high school.  I tried about every flavor on every shift.  I would ruin waffle cones on purpose so I could put caramel sauce on and eat them.  Some of my absolute fave Jeni's flavors are Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Goat Cheese and Red Cherries, Bangkok Peanut (spicy!), Queen City Cayenne (also spicy!), Whiskey Pecan, Backyard Mint, and the infamous Sweet Corn and Black Raspberry.  Little note to fellow out of towners, you can order ice cream pints online and they will deliver it straight to your house!  Certain grocery stores are carrying Jeni's now too so check locations on the site to see if there is one close to you.

Floral Femininity

Button Down Shirt: The Limited   Shirt: Anthropologie   Jeans: The Limited   Necklace: H&M   Shoes: Jessica Simpson (DSW)   Sunglasses: Target   Watch: Michael Kors   Ring: H&M

So we had a lil bit of a work outing the other night.  These are some of my fabulous co-workers above.  I love working with people that are just as passionate about fashion as I am.  This top from Anthropologie is seriously one of my favorite tops.  I actually got the idea to layer it with a button down from one of my ultimate favorite bloggers  Atlantic-Pacific.  This statement necklace is perfect for summer.  The color was so on trend right now and it was such a fab price at H&M.  I am not a huge jean person, but these stretch jeans from Limited are super dark and slimming.  I love cuffing them in the summer with some sandals.  These Jessica Simpson sandals are so intricate and are suprisingly comfortable to wear for 8 hours at work.  Who am I kidding, I mean 1o hours.  Who works only 8 hour days anymore???

Golden Love

Dress: H&M   Sheer Tunic: H&M   Bracelets: Brown and Cream Beads: H&M, Clear Beads: The Limited, Brown Beads: Gifted   Watch: Michael Kors   Rings: Pink Bead: H&M, Stackable: H&M   Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita (DSW)   Clutch: The Limited  Sunglasses: H&M

So I decided to take a trip home this weekend to see my family and friends.  It has been awhile since I have spent a whole weekend at home and it was very relaxing.  One of my favorite things growing up, was going to our 4th of July Festival in my hometown.  Luckily, the festival was still going on while I was home.  I even got to witness another round of fireworks with all my high school friends.  The golden retriever above is my dog Max that I grew up with!  He is 12 years old and still looks so young for a golden!  He is the love my life, and truly is such an amazing dog.  This is one of my favorite summer outfits I have put together.  I wore this sheer tunic on vacation in Mexico this summer as a beach coverup, but it really does go great over summer dresses to dress an outfit up.  When I saw this yellow clutch, I knew it had to be mine.  I am kinda obsessed with yellow.  It is such a fun color to incorporate in any way to your outfits.

What Up Fireworks!

Dress: Old Navy   Tank: The Loft   Necklace: Francesca's Collections   Bracelets: Clear Beads: The Limited, American Flag: I got when I was like 10!  I don't remember!   Watch: Michael Kors   Ring: Forever 21   Sunglasses: Target   Handbag: Nordstrom   Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita (DSW)

So Happy 4th of July Blog world!  This was a pretty successful 4th for me, even though it was in the middle of the week.  I was able to be with my best friends and go to multiple parties.  We watched the fireworks downtown at my friend's apartment that has a rooftop patio.  As you can see from the pic above, the view was pretty decent except for the giant building in the way :)  Oh well it was fun to just be with good friends to share the moment.  I am obsessed with maxi dresses and this one from Old Navy  I couldn't pass up.  Francesca's has the CUTEST jewelry!  This necklace was a pretty penny, but I wear it all the time!  It was totally worth it.  Only splurge on the things you can't live without ladies!  Hope you all had a great holiday and were able to enjoy a full sky of fireworks!  On a final note, how perfect is my American Flag bracelet that I found??? I have had this forever and just recently found it...I was so excited!
