Sequins and Studs

So black and gold is a really big trend for fall and I am loving it.  I am pretty much planning my fall wardrobe around these Steve Madden combat boots.  I had been searching for studded combat boots, and once I saw these I had to have them.  I have had this sequin tunic from H&M for about a year now and every time I wear it I get so many compliments.  Pairing a dress with combat boots is my favorite way to do this trend.  It is like the salty sweet combo ya know?  It's totally rocker chic :)  I also wanted to note on my new ombre hair.  I have been wanting to try this on my hair for some time now, but was scared to do it.  I figured this hair style might not be cool for that long so I better jump on my board now, especially after seeing a lot of other bloggers rocking it.  My friend Colin is so trendy and I was obsessed with his boots so I just had to showcase them!  I need to find out what brand these are so I will get back to you all on that info.  I love the boots that have laces that wrap around the ankle.  I have seen a lot of great womens boots with that feature as well.  Who else is so excited fall weather is finally here???

Nashville Bachelorette Weekend!

So I love a good bachelorette party especially when it is in a super fun city like Nashville!  I had never been and it reminded me of a country style Vegas.  It was so cool to go into every bar and have a new budding country artist or band entertaining.  The bachelorette party was for one of my best friends Katie that I met in Columbus!  We had two nights to celebrate and we checked out some great places and did a Honky Tonk Bar Crawl.  There was a cute area with great shopping boutiques called Hillsboro Village that we checked out.  I bought an amazing dress at the one boutique called Posh.  The second night we went to some kareoke bars, which were super fun!  I love a good kareoke bar, and I am pretty sure that the guy running the one place in the picture above looked just like Jack Sparrow aka Johnny Depp in Pirates.  Does he not?  All in all it was a great weekend with my girls and I was so happy to be a part of it!  Can't wait to see my friends Katie and Rob get married...love you both! xoxo

So this wedge sneaker trend I am SO on board with.  I had been hunting down the perfect pair and I adored these Mad Love sneaks from DSW.  They come with hot pink laces, but you can also change them out to white so you can wear with everything.  A lot of people have been asking how to wear these wedge sneaks and I have to say that beyond skinny jeans you can wear them with dresses, skirts, and shorts with a casual top.  One of my favorite bloggers Sincerely Jules has worn them best as you can see here.  It is also worth noting that camo is BACK as you can also see from Sincerely Jules.  I got rid of one of my FAVORITE camo jackets a couple years back and I knew it would always come back around someday.  This old JimmyZ's jacket has a camo/safari feel.  I have been a little bit obsessed with Kohl's new brands that they have been bringing in.  Jennifer Lopez, Lauren Conrad, and Vera Wang have been some great staples for them, but I am loving Rock and Republic!  It is one of their newer lines that they have added and they have the cutest stuff.  It is very rocker chic with lots of embellishments and details, but is also very affordable.  So ya'll if you haven't been to a Kohl's lately, I recommend giving it a second look. 

Stella and Dot Girls Night In

I am IN LOVE with Stella and Dot.  I want pretty much all of their pieces, but as this is a blog for the girl on a "budget" I really can't afford to buy their jewelry in bulk without some sort of a discount.  I decided to have a jewelry party because what better way to get a discount on the goods as well as getting all my girls together for some wine and apps.  So here is a couple highlights from the event at my house!  To check out their collection just go here.

Some delish snacks I made for the party.  I am obsessed with any sort of dip so I made Hot Crap Dip and Parmesan Crescent roll bites.  And then of course the obvious choice of cheese and crackers...yum!!!

NashVegas

So everyone I am in Nashville this weekend for a Bachelorette party and let me tell you it is a whole other world down here.  I just wanted you all to know there will be a bit of a pause in new posts until I get back tomorrow.  I will have lots of pics from the trip to post so stay tuned.  I hope you all are enjoying the long weekend!  I am hoping to have a celebrity sighting...a lil Taylor Swift maybe?  Who am I kidding Keith Urban would be even better.
