Happy Halloween!

So I figured since it is Halloween, I should showcase my outfit from last year that is the same dress that I am wearing this year as an outfit instead of a costume! :)  I LOVE this polka dot dress because it can be so 1950's housewife, but then can transition into a super chic frock for work.  I really wasn't feeling Halloween this year.  I didn't even dress up :(  Instead I made a Thanksgiving style feast and watched Magic Mike with one of my besties Kristin.  Um have you all seen Magic Mike?  Good god I love Channing Tatum.  I mean it's serious.  Anywho, I am rambling.  Read about the details on the outfits below!

Dress: H&M   Cardigan: The Limited   Peter Pan Collar: H&M   Shoes: Steve Madden (DSW)   Watch: Michael Kors   Ring: H&M   Handbag: H&M   Belt: The Limited

So first off I love black and white.  Secondly, I love peter pan collars.  Third, I love this dress.  It is so fun, flirty, and comfortable.  I love skinny belts and The Limited always has great choices.  This snakeskin metallic belt is so fun, and can complete any outfit.  Well everyone I hope you had an amazing Halloween and next year I will make sure that I am on top of a super amazing costume.  Let me know what you dressed as this year so I have some ideas!!!

So I was just taking a nice lil stroll through the park the other night and thought I should take some blog pics.  I can say one thing about Ohio weather, it is BEAUTIFUL in the fall.  I love when the leaves change.  This shirt reminds me of the seasons because of the floral pattern on it.  Lauren Conrad does the whole floral, girly, flowy thing oh so well.  I have been deciding that I need to expand my flat shoe wardrobe and these Sam Edelman flats have been the best purchase I have made in awhile.  They are so comfortable and are dressy enough to be worn with a nice dress, but can pass for casual with these skinny jeans.  Lastly, I have to mention this handbag from H&M.  It is the perfect size and shape and has two different ways to wear it.  Not to mention it is burgundy.  Burgundy is the hottest color for fall.  Whether is it is clothing, accessories, or lipstick, it is everywhere right now.

Columbus Fashion Week Fashion Show

Hi all!  Sorry for the late blog post!  I had some personal issues happening last week with my cat Khloe and she was in the hospital so I didn't have time to blog about the events.  My cat is fine and she is at home now (thank god!)  I was at least able to make the fashion show last Friday.  Ten local designers put on a phenomenal show at the brand new Hilton Hotel in downtown Columbus.  Here are some of the highlights below.

Josie and Colin, my fellow fashionistas!

Caitlin that I work with, who is also one of the fashion coordinators of the event.
One of my favorite co-workers Liz, who is my resident fashion consultant.  She is always so on trend!
The Mayor of Columbus Mr. Coleman kicking off the event!

OBSESSED with her gold dress!  So many architectural details!
