So the weather has been real stellar here in Columbus, OH.  Not.  I had to do an indoor shoot today since it was raining and gloomy.  Normally days like this would not make me want to put a lot of effort into my outfit, but I had recently did a little shopping and wanted to show off my new digs.  So I am in LOVE with this fur sweater that I got from Express.  It is so comfortable and the fur on the collar is detachable if you aren't feeling as daring.  Fur is such a statement.  Obviously I am talking faux fur.  I definitely am not a fan of the real thing.  I feel so confident and cool when I have a piece with fur on.  I found this sequin top at The Limited and it matched the sweater perfectly,  I also think the sequins add a little glam to this look and since it is close to the holidays, sequins are completely necessary.  I paired this outfit with my gold skirt from H&M that I love, but I think this would also look great with a pair of skinny or bootcut jeans and the perfect boot or bootie.  Does anyone else have a hard time going to the mall shopping for Christmas presents for others and NOT buying for themselves?  The deals are just so good that it is hard not to pick up a couple of things for yourself too.  Am I right?  Or do I just have a shopping problem?  Happy Holidays if I don't post before Christmas! :)

So as much as I love shopping for clothes, shoes, and accessories, I also love shopping for furniture, decor, and housing.  It is so much more fun house hunting when you don't actually NEED a house.  Yea see I am not moving, but I love walking around different neighborhoods while looking at the houses on the market.  Now onto the outfit!  My favorite part of fall clothing is layering.  I have a love affair with a good poncho.  This specific poncho caught my eye because of the navy coloring and the button details on the front.  I thought it looked very vintage.  These are my FAVORITE shoes right now.  Glitter makes every outfit.  Period.  I just love how these shoes are so basic in the front, and so party in the back.  As I have said in past posts, wine and navy are so in this season.  I can't get enough pairing these colors together.  My favorite outfits usually consist of a dress and chunky sweater.

So my roomie and I partake in Christmas pics every year.  This is our fourth year living together and doing these holiday cards.  However, this is the first year that we both have animals.  I have had my cat Khloe Bear for 5 years now, while Kristen (my roomie) just got her fabulous English bulldog pup this year.  Her name is Lucy, but for some reason we call her Lucy Goosey or Goose or baby angel face.  Whatever works.  So we didn't even plan our outfits to be matching blues, but it kind of just worked out that way.  My friend Becca is awesome and a really great photographer so she takes all of our pictures for us!  What a great friend :)  This color block dress is so comfortable and all of my favorite colors on myself in one.  Well except for hot pink.  I love hot pink on me.  These Jessica Simpson pumps are amazing and have held up really well.  They come in a multitude of colors.  I am also certain that the round toe will never actually go out of style.  Who knew downtown Columbus was so beautiful?  I seriously do love living here.  I know it is Ohio and that isn't as cool as somewhere with a beach, but I have had some of the best times of my life here in the capital.  Well happy holidays!  What are everyone's holiday plans???

It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

I love the mall and shopping centers during the holidays.  Well let me rephrase, I love the Christmas decorations at the mall, NOT the crowds of people.  This sweater dress from H&M is perfect for winter.  I actually bought it last year, but noticed that they have brought it back in multiple colors this season.  Bella Boutique is a store by my parents house in Medina, OH.  They always have the cutest clothes, and I was in love with this leather vest as soon as I saw it.  The ruffle collar was the perfect touch of femininity.  This necklace is a combo of two necklaces combined.  When it comes to cowl necks or high collars, it is best if you are going to accesorize to have a long necklace so the collar can still make a statement of its own.  I have to mention this weather again.  I mean it is DECEMBER in OHIO and 60 degrees!  It is just amazing, even if it is because of global warming :)

So winter is here.  It's happening.  I am finally ready to embrace my Christmas spirit.  In fact, my roomate and I decorated the house tonight and it looks fabulous.  I will show pics soon!  So I am determined to bring the sweater vest back.  Navy is such a big color this season in everything from apparel to accessories.  I fell in love with these Betsey Johnson Navy Sunglasses.  If you look close enough, they have hearts on them!  I figured that would play off my hearts on my shirt.  I also want to touch on my bootcut jeans.  They are officially back, especially with pumps being back in such a big way.  These Rocket Dog chunky heeled shoes are fabulous.  The ruffle in the front is so cute and feminine.  Obviously with this outfit you can't get the full effect, but I thought grey would go well with navy.  Also, I hope the chunky heel stays around for a while because it is so much more comfortable!  Last but not least, I have been wanting a colored peacoat and I just happened to be in Old Navy browsing and saw this gem.  Not to mention all coats were half off!!!  Yellow is such a bright, fun color.  It always makes me feel happy when I am wearing it :)

Special and HUGE thanks to my friend Colin for always making me look fabulous and taking the BEST pictures!!! Love you!!! xoxo
