Suburbia

Top: Bella Girl Boutique   Jeans: Old Navy   Shoes: Buckle (Old)   Necklace: World Market   Rings: Green Crystals: Boutique in Wilmington, NC, Gold Pinky: H&M   Watch: Michael Kors   Bracelets: Gifted, The Limited, H&M  Handbag: DSW

So I was visiting my friend Sarah at her apartment complex and loved the white picket fences, so I thought it was a perfect place for a photo shoot.  I have always imagined having that quiet suburban lifestyle with a white picket fence when I was younger.  Now my idea of what I want in a neighborhood is changing.  I am not sure what I want exactly.  I guess it's like when you know you will know.  There is a boutique in my parents hometown of Medina, OH called Bella Girl Boutique.  That is where I got this top from.  I instantly knew I needed this top with the pockets and layered ruffles.  I seriously love shopping at boutiques because all of the pieces are so unique. The problem is finding the unique pieces at a decent price.  If you haven't noticed I am obsessed with chunky neclaces and this one from World Market is one of my faves.  The colors are perfect together and it goes with a lot of my neutral colors.  The key to wearing these flowy tops is to pair them with a straighter, more narrow bottom.  That is why I chose skinny jeans.  You can get the most out of your skinny jeans in the summer by rolling them up.  These shoes I got from Buckle years ago and they have held up pretty nicely.  The metallic snakeskin still is on trend even now.

Blue Suede Shoes and Delish Sandwiches

Poncho: Lauren Conrad (Kohl's)   Skirt: Express   Necklace: H&M   Bracelets: H&M   Watch: Michael Kors   Shoes: BC Footwear (DSW)   Ring: Boutique in Wilmington, NC (I forget the name!)

So I am pretty much in love with this sandwich shop around the block from my house called Katalina.  They have such a cool atmostphere and everything I have ever tried there was delicious.  My latest choice was the Pesto Avocado sandwich and a Watermelon Feta Gazpacho.  Anything with goat cheese is my weakness.  I seriously need my own goat to be able to have goat cheese at my beck and call.  Seriously though, if you love delicious food and live in Columbus than you have to check out Katalina.  You won't regret it, I promise.  As for my outfit, I have always wanted a pair of blue suede shoes so I could sing the song in my head as I am prancing down the street.  I am trying to prepare myself for my fall wardrobe again so I thought I would whip out my poncho a little early.  Fall clothes are  my favorite.  I am ready for all my boots, sweaters, tights, and skirts.  That is all.

So I apologize for the delay in blog posts lately!!! Things have been a little crazy in my life and my computer has been on the fritz to boot.  There was a networking event for girls the other night at the bar called Social in Arena District.  There were many different vendors in attendance including my favorite jewelry company Stella and Dot.  I love so many of their pieces, but like most girls in their twenties they aren't super affordable.  Hence, I got suckered into having my very own jewelry party to get a discount.  Don't worry, I will have lots of pics to share of that epic event next week.  So my friend Kelly and I hit up the event and we met this amazing hostess Amber that will be conducting my party!  And there were $2 champagne flutes!  I am pretty much obsessed with their one spikey bracelet called The Renegade.  My favorite blogger Pink Peonies wheres it and you can see her wearing it stacked with other bracelets here.  Not to mention Katy Perry and other celebs have been seen wearing it as well.  Check her out here.  Then I kept the night going and went to see a baseball game with my super, cute and fashionable friend Kristin pictured with me below.  I love nights out with just the girls.  Keeps me grounded. :)

Boutique Pieces

My uber amazing photographer and work bestie Colin!!!!  He is amazing and has been such a HUGE help with this blog and all of my pictures.  He is also so stylish and gives me great fashion tips.  LOVE YOU!

Dress: Anthropologie   Necklace: Willy Jay's   Shoes: Jessica Simpson (DSW)   Watch: Michael Kors   Bracelets: Gifted, H&M, World Market   Ring: H&M

I love a good boutique.  Charleston had so many super cute boutiques that were reasonably priced.  One of my absolute favorite boutiques I shopped at was Willy Jay's.  I bought this statement necklace there that I am in love with.  This is probably the biggest necklace that I own, but I want to wear it with everything!  This dress from Anthropologie is so comfortable and I love the pockets on it!  Pockets are fabulous.  I love them on skirts, dresses, and high waisted pants.  I feel like they are always a nice surprise on a dress though.  Seriously though how cute is my friend Colin?  :)

Charleston

Stopped in Kentucky first to pick up my bestie Kristin who is basically a celeb since she is the weather girl.

The Pink Lemonade house on Rainbow Row as my friend Laura would say. :)
Borrowed my friend Kristy's necklace that she got at a boutique in Charleston. Talk about a statement necklace!

Had the BEST time at Wine and Design!  You basically get to bring your own wine and snacks and get to paint your own painting and take it home with you!  Such a great idea to do with family or friends.  Check out the website here.

Saw such an amazingly chill acoustic session at this hip bar/restaurant Fish.

Bottomless Mimosas at Toast!  Amazing!!!!

The artwork of Paul Silva!  I seriously loved every piece!  I even bought the one below for myself to have at home so I can remember our trip!  Check out his website http://www.paulsilvaart.com/

These awesome candles are made from old wine bottles and are all designed to smell like different wines.  I bought the Sangria scent!  What a great idea!  http://www.rewinedcandles.com/

Delicious organic breakfast from Three Little Birds Cafe.  I got a delicious Turkey Sausage, Goat Cheese, and Spinach scramble.  Check out the menu here,

So these girls above are two of my very best friends from high school.  That picture is obviously us back in the day.  I am the furthest on the right and the other two are Kristy and Kristin.  We are also known as the three K's.  We haven't all 3 been together in about 4 years.  Kristy actually lives in Charleston and Kristin is in Kentucky, so we are all over the board.  We seriously had the best time!  It was such a laid back chill trip and it was so nice to just relax and catch up with each other.  Charleston is so beautiful and I instantly want to move there every time I visit.  I was slightly obsessed with Dawson's Creek growing up and I always wanted to row across the creek to my own Dawson.  Well I actually was in love with Pacey, but you get the picture.  Anyways, I recommend if you EVER visit Charleston to definitely check out the Wine and Design website and go paint.  It was so fun and it really got me in touch with my artistic side.  I know I am not going in depth on any of the outfits, but I figured I would just share some pics from the trip and our experiences.  Now I am back to reality writing this post and it makes me sad because I wish we were still there!  Vacations are never long enough! :(  Kristy and Kristin - love you girls!!! xoxo
