So winter is here.  It's happening.  I am finally ready to embrace my Christmas spirit.  In fact, my roomate and I decorated the house tonight and it looks fabulous.  I will show pics soon!  So I am determined to bring the sweater vest back.  Navy is such a big color this season in everything from apparel to accessories.  I fell in love with these Betsey Johnson Navy Sunglasses.  If you look close enough, they have hearts on them!  I figured that would play off my hearts on my shirt.  I also want to touch on my bootcut jeans.  They are officially back, especially with pumps being back in such a big way.  These Rocket Dog chunky heeled shoes are fabulous.  The ruffle in the front is so cute and feminine.  Obviously with this outfit you can't get the full effect, but I thought grey would go well with navy.  Also, I hope the chunky heel stays around for a while because it is so much more comfortable!  Last but not least, I have been wanting a colored peacoat and I just happened to be in Old Navy browsing and saw this gem.  Not to mention all coats were half off!!!  Yellow is such a bright, fun color.  It always makes me feel happy when I am wearing it :)

Special and HUGE thanks to my friend Colin for always making me look fabulous and taking the BEST pictures!!! Love you!!! xoxo

So Thanksgiving and Christmas are my favorite holidays, probably like the rest of the world.  I couldn't wait to whip out my fancy pants for the occasion.  Well that is what I made my family call them all day, my fancy pants.  I figured I wanted to keep the colors very fall and tonal.  I love a good chunky sweater, and this piece from Limited was perfect for this warm fall weather.  I know I have mentioned this before, but World Market has AMAZING jewelry.  I love World Market in general, but their accessories are so earthy and natural.  So that's the story behind my havest attire :)  We always go to both of my grandparents houses for Thanksgiving, so here are some pics of my fam and my beautiful golden retriever Max.  He is 13 and has been the best dog growing up.  How was everyone else's Thanksgiving?  Credits for the photography go to my fabulous cousin Maria!  Thanks girl, you did an amazing job! xoxo

All That Glitters

Button Down Blouse: Forever 21   Floral Top: Urban Outfitters   Skirt: H&M   Tights: The Limited   Handbag: H&M   Shoes: Madden Girl (Gordman's)   Necklace: Borrowed from the roomie!   Ring: H&M

So the weather has been so amazing this fall that I was able to wear this fabulous outfit without a coat!  In Mid-November in Ohio that is unheard of!  I have been wanting a pair of chukka booties for a really long time and I found these pair of Madden Girl booties when I was in Chicago checking out my very first Gordman's store.  If you have never been to one, definitely worth checking out.  There was lots of great finds and they have an amazing home department.  Anyways, I have been wearing button downs on the regular lately as long as I can button them all the way up and layer them with a great sweater, top, or vest.  This button down is one of my absolute faves, because of the sequin collar.  My next search is to find a denim button down with a sequin collar.  Here's hoping!  This gold skirt from H&M is so comfortable and can be dressed up or down depending on the outfit.  It is also perfect for the holiday season because of it's metallic material.  I figured with my favorite floral shirt, that I should keep the earthy feel going with the accessories and absolutely love my roomie's leaf necklace and this leaf ring from H&M.  Hope the weather has been treating the rest of you as well and that you had an amazing weekend!  Thanksgiving is upon us this week!  Can't wait to be home with my family and friends!

Tribal Fusion

So I bought these pants at Old Navy this past weekend for $4.00!!!  Can you believe that???  Surprisingly I found so many things in my closet that I can wear with these gems.  I love this top because if you are feeling frisky you can wear it off the shoulder.  I think the key with these pants is to keep the top somewhat basic.  The pants are pretty loud on their own, so you don't want to get too crazy with your upper body.  These fringe booties match these pants PERFECTLY!  I couldn't believe how much they matched.  Just want to throw in an Old Navy plug and say that they had some awesome stuff when I went in the other day.  I love that you can always count on getting fashionable items at a portion of the price of their competitors.  It is very rare that I don't like anything at this store.

Sorry for the uber long delay!  I know I have been saying that a lot lately, but seriously I mean it.  Things have been really crazy in my life lately, and I know that isn't an excuse.  But hey I'm human.  It happens!  Anywho, it is weird these hot flashes in the weather that we have been having and it is now November.  Global warming is upon us.  I can't get enough of these wedge sneakers.  I love that they came with hot pink and white laces so you can get the most wear out of them.  This dress was on sale at Urban Outfitters last year for about $10.  I LOVE it, however I never know how to wear it.  It is kinda short, so you have to wear leggings, but then I love the beading so you can't really wear anything over the dress or you will miss that great detailing.  So I thought I would make it a little more casual with a t-shirt under the dress.  I love mixing looks,  hence the name of my blog.
