Showering of Love for Baby Claire

So I am going to be an first time aunt pretty soon.  And by pretty soon, I mean in a month.  I am so excited!!!! We had such a wonderful shower for baby Claire that I wanted to share a couple pics.  Thank god for Pinterest right?

Ombre seems like a trend that is still on the rise whether it is in tops, jeans, or dresses.  If you are trying to make any outfit casual, just throw on a chambray shirt.  They are so versatile and you can wear them buttoned or open like a jacket.  I love the way that the blogger Sincerely Jules wears chunky necklaces with casual outfits.  I guess you could say she inspired me for this post.  Lastly, I had been looking for a pair of metallic pumps and these Tahari round toe pumps were a perfect deal at DSW. 

Max, My Marley in Heaven

The dog I grew up with the past 13 years of my life passed away on Sunday.  Max was the love of my life, and was the sweetest, most caring pup that ever lived.  He was scared of storms and had a love for all things food oriented, but in one word he was amazing.  These past few days have been really difficult for my family, but I know that Max is in a good place now.  I will miss him everyday.  Thanks for everyone's kind words.  I really appreciate it.

My New Digs

So obviously I have not been on my normal posting schedule and part of that is because I have recently just moved into a new pad.  I love it, but moving is super stressful and obviously very time consuming so I apologize!  I will be back to posting as normal soon.  So here is a sneak peak of the new pad in my bedroom  with the faux fireplace.  I LOVE IT!

So there was a slight problem with my computer the past couple of weeks, and I was locked out :(  Unfortunately, that meant no blog posts.  But no worries, I am back in action!  These pictures are a little old, but better late than never.  I am loving that jackets are such a trend for summer, because I love layering.  The weather has been so hit and miss in Ohio lately, that the jacket has been kind of a necessity.  And if you have been following my blog, you know that anything that is shiny or glitters I want to have in my wardrobe.  And this is by far one of my favorite necklaces from Stella & Dot.  It really is so versatile and I love the thickness of it.  Check out my Stella & Dot site below for all the fabulous sales and Dot Dollars happening in June!
